Entry Recognition System

Maintain Customer Service

The Entry Recognition System provides a higher level of security, whilst ensuring the Operator is in a proactive position to maintain customer service.

During slow customer traffic / high risk periods, it is likely the Operator is undertaking up-keep tasks either in the retail chamber or in cool/store rooms. During this period it is important to ensure entry to the Retail Chamber occurs in a controlled manner, such that the Operator is aware of the need to provide service and/or avoid being taken by surprise by an offender.

The Entry Recognition System, once activated, combines remote door locking devices, audible warning devices, service entry door lock control with external detection devices. These external devices pre-warn the Operator an imminent entry requirement exists. This pre-alert enables the Operator to return to the secured service counter environment and deactivate the system, minimising any potential entry delay experienced by the customer. Controlled, yet efficient customer entry results, whilst ensuring the Operator is secured at the service counter.

Improved Usability

The single control, along with the efficiency of operation regarding the service counter access door, improves usability.

Activation Awareness

To minimise confusion as to the state of the system, the control button is accompanied by a red flashing lamp. This signals the service counter door is in free access mode.A day-mode release button is also available.

Integration of Current Facilities

Whilst service counters may be enclosed, remote entry door locks installed, with an entry buzzer present for customers to request entry, these systems are generally independent:

  • The service counter door maybe left unlocked, when customers are in the retail chamber, leaving easy access to staff and/or valuables.
  • The entry request buzzer, generally at point of entry, requires manual activation by the customer, causing unnecessary delay to entry whilst the Operator returns to the counter to release the entry door.
  • The Operator might quickly exit the service counter area and omit activating the independent remote door lock.

The System migrates the entry buzzer to a pre-alert automatic detection, integrating this with remote entry door lock, and service counter door control into a single system, with a single activation device and control system
