Modular Plate Vault System
The Modular Plate Vault System is designed to provide a high security enclosure within a standard commercial floor environment.
Flexibility
Construction provides for internal cladding to client requirements, allowing the secured environment to be utilised as a fully functional work environment, in addition to a secured storage area. Internal cladding options include plaster & stud, stainless steel, and steel. As a result, the system is extremely flexible in application.
Structurally, minimal welding in combination with a totally bolted construction, ensures building movement is accommodated during the life of the installation. Additionally, this assists with the removal / relocation of the vault area when required.
Anti-Tamper Construction
Installed slab to slab, the system is fixed to the upper slab utilising a dropper, whilst standard masonry fixings are utilised at the lower slab. Top and bottom C-channel members are formed from high tensile steel plate. On installation of the vertical members, C-channel fixings become integral to the structure, eliminating tampering.
The outer skin is of 10mm steel, with press formed corner sections void of structural joins. Existing vertical joins are bolted to vertical cleats and sealed with Fire Mastic™ sealant. Horizontal joins are overlayed with a secondary 6mm steel doubler and, again, sealed with Fire Mastic™.
Cleats, overlays and fasteners are on the secure side of the structure, and become hidden once internal cladding is completed. Further, every third fixing is stitch-welded to provide additional integrity.
Door Frame
The System encompasses a heavy-duty door frame structure designed to support a (govt. Class A) vault door. Alternative door types can also be accommodated.
